Has anyone heard of a bleach bath for their baby/toddler? Went to the pediatric dermatologist today for my 16mon olds persistent diaper rash that wouldnt respond to any homeopathic remedy (tried it all), rash cream or nystatin ointment. She recommended 1/4 cup of bleach in the bath up to hips, soak for 10 mins then aquafor all over every night for at least a week. Then do alternating hydrocortisone and nystatin. I warned her of my crunchiness (if the cloth diapers didnt give it away first) and I must have looked horrified bc she explained the bleach bath wasnt any different than a pool and we needed to kill all the bacteria on her bum. Idk Im still pretty terrified to do it. Thoughts on the bath?
