Has anyone seen this short film? It is incredibly eye-opening! I love how it inverts the relationship between native English and non-English speakers. Im not sure if this accurate but its pretty funny to imagine that this is what I sound like to non-English speakers. I went into this video assuming that I would understand the dialogue but I spent the entire time trying to decipher what was being said. It was surreal to hear English sound so foreign because Ive always assumed that it is incredibly coherent and comprehensive. I have a greater empathy and understanding for the struggle that many non-English speakers go through to grasp the English language. It sounds foreign to them, just like French and German sound foreign to me!!! On another note, the storyline is also incredibly compelling.
