Has been reflecting fondly on my first meetings with Alim and what he has meant to me over the years. Truly, meeting someone like him was the last thing I was expecting as I embarked on that fateful mission trip to southern Russia. Alim has become my lover and friend, and was a huge part of my emotional healing. I remember begging God for this man to notice me, even if we were never more than good friends ... and he has become so much more. I only wish that we had met 10 years earlier. We walked down the aisle together at our wedding, to this song. It reflects what he was to me then, and now: both my soulmate, and an unexpected development that brought comfort, healing, and a sense of freedom to me.
