Has decided that now is the time to make the formal complaint to the NHS regarding Maisies care. Her hearing loss was not taken seriously at all and at 2 years old, she could not say a word. We were told no when I asked about hearing aids and speech therapist. And I had to put in complaints to the hearing aid department to get her a hearing aid. Then I had to get the health visitor and bug her to refer Maisie to speech therapy. Her diagnoses was severe speech & language delay. They need to take childrens deafness seriously, She has come far after getting her aid, a year ago but she is still and considerable amount behind other children the same age.
