Haunting Rose - by Olfa Drid Derouiche When your sunset looms in those years unborn and your bygone spring days, you start to mourn a far scent of a rose shall tickle your nose, then in your stink leave your forlorn. The past harms and the vain promises sworn to that rose whose stem and petals were torn, shall then fill your life dusk with remorse till your soul begs rescue from its haunting thorns… About the author: Olfa Drid Derouiche is a Tunisian English teacher, a PhD scholar and a seed of a writer/ thinker who has just ripened and flowered along the school of life. Olfa is a committed poetess whose passion is meditation at the ailments and aches of the human race and whose utmost target of writing is not art for art’s sake but rather to provoke thoughts, to question given- for-granted facts and to resurrect the readers’ hearts and uplift their souls. Her poems often shed light on some gender, social and/or ethical issues. youtube/watch?v=0LSzmduSjKw&feature=youtu.be
