Have I mentioned I have never rode a freestyle? True story! And - TopicsExpress

Have I mentioned I have never rode a freestyle? True story! And we signed up to ride it at Devonwood.... Yes that tiny little show in 10 days. And.... I got the music yesterday... Right! So I can admit, tiny little bit of freaking out on my part. Just really focused on knowing the pattern and hoping the music matched really well! Well my ring is short and fat and some of the lines were riding tricky plus I needed a full size ring for the timing of the music now that I have it. I am out of time though in every sense of the word and I needed close and I needed now! SO Sean At Rwf to the rescue! They have an outdoor that is regulation sized! AND according to mapquest it is a 24 minute drive! (I got lost but that is a story for another day) So we came up with this brilliant plan last night and because I have my mind on the show this weekend and getting the timing is more of a blip in my brain and I was super hurrying my already exceptional planning skills were not at their finest. So French and I get there and Sean patiently waits for me to tack even though I am already way later than I said I would be. Then French decides he is offended by the end of the ring. Not joking. Dude, kinda need to use the full space, kinda why we are here. Sean to the rescu a whip is produced and we are using the whole ring. Nice! Okay lets put on this music..... No seriously whenever.... Hmmmm no joke dead batteries on the player! Kinda the whole reason we are here! Sean to the rescue AGAIN! He then produces batteries (not kidding) and we have MUSIC!!! Then we need some video action. He steps up and videos too! AND did the player, AND the video AND through the glare of the sun kinda pay attention to the details. He had two great observations for how I was getting off on the music and our second pass through was WAY better than the first. AND on the final centerline the video camera battery died. Well we got enough though. The session was SUPER helpful and Sean I cant thank you enough for helping me out so short notice and solving all my issues so efficiently! I LOVE when we can all get together and help each other out. THANKS SEAN! So excited for Devonwood! :)
