Have been invited to speak in Mongolia at a Climate Change - TopicsExpress

Have been invited to speak in Mongolia at a Climate Change Communications Youth Seminar. Young crowd with average age half of mine. Participants come from the Philippines, Norway, Germany,Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, Hongkong and of course, Mongolia. I spoke on Saving the Bataan National Park, also my topic in Subic Environment Summit. Mongolia already lost its forests and is now facing the twin problem of desertification in the south (the Gobi desert is expanding) and melting permafrost in the north. The youth is trying to save their future which our generation is losing for them. Climate Change is upon us and no one in the group is in denial of the phenomenon. Delegates from Hongkong, and Germany, who admitted to contributing to Climate Change, and Norway would like to contribute to alleviating the problem that caused Haiyan (Yolanda), and even as we were meeting they knew that Manila was being flooded. The seminar has imbued in every participant a deep resolve to sound the alarm on Climate Change through the youth by using social media because the cyberspace is where the youth congregate. Tomorrow we visit the Ger Disrict and sleep overnight in a Ger camp tent. Horses, camel, goats in the thousands on the steppe. Chance to see the nomads life which is now threatened by climate change. And a chance to ride where Genghis (Chinggis) Khan once roamed.
