Have been working on a new block with lots of challenging piecing to do. I made this pressing mat yesterday to go on my dining room table so I dont have to keep fussing with the ironing board. We live in a townhouse so space is limited. Bought cotton batting, and the wide width was able to fold and have 4 layers, then covered with heat proof ironing board fabric. I had the 22 X 24 piece of 1/2 plywood in the basement. Hammered furniture tacks around the edge, then screwed on the rubber feet on the corners to protect my table. I just love it. Cost under $15. to make, so handy to have so close.
