Have some good news. Grenada has done it again in the world of sports. This time in the Eastern Caribbean Tennis Championship being held in St. Lucia. GRENADA CAPTURES THREE TENNIS TITLES: Grenadian Nikitta Bowen has made a mark in the Eastern Caribbean Tennis Championships in St Lucia. The form 3 student of the Anglican High School has captured the Girls’ 18s title by defeating her teammate Jody-Anne James 6-1,7-6 (7-3) in the finals. Bowen then teamed up with James to win the Girls’ 18s doubles against Shania William and Delissa Fernandez (SVG) 8-1. Later that evening Nikitta Bowen took on St. Lucian Lesha Emile in the Women’s Singles Final in which she won 6-0,6-4. Today, which is the final day of competition at 2:30PM she will pair with Mickel Alexander to compete in the Mixed Doubles Finals against Josh Mounsey and Kamara William (SVG). OTHER FINAL EVENTS: --- The Boys 18s Jean Phillipe Murray (St. LU) vs Taqel Lewis (St. LU) --- The Men’s Singles Vernon Lewis (St. LU) vs Akeem Gustav (St. LU) CLOSING CEREMONY: The Closing Ceremony is scheduled for 4:00PM at the National Tennis Centre in St. Lucia. RETURN HOME: The team returns home on Sunday (20APR) with coach and manager Jason Stanislaus. #TeamGrenada
