Have we as a nation come to the point where anyone can just declare themselves a citizen for the purpose of voting, one of out most precious rights? WE ALL have had to prove we were citizens in order to vote every time we go to the booth and now the Supreme Court is ruling this Unconstitutional? I am proud of my history, my citizenship, and to see it slowly eaten away it so disheartening and sad, and to see and hear leaders call this progress???? Many of our citizens have EARNED that title, and of course it can be tweeked but to give ILLEGAL ALIENS a pass by not being able to verify their status for voting is amazing to me, and downright shameful. This is so stupid, so illogical, and so shameful. I want the path to citizenship to be fair and just as we all do, but this just opens the door for more hate and dissent. I, for one just closed my mind on any type of immigration bill, because the way I see it, all the folks in power want now is open borders, voting for everyone, and no restraints whatsoever. They are pushing for socialism and in time anarchy. Ok, that is my rant :-)
