Recently a pediatrics doctor, that works at John Hopkins, revealed that the assumption that diabetes is a result of being over weight - is wrong... What then is behind what causes diabetes? There is now evidence that a gene with in each of us can become active and that gene is what causes diabetes and thus the diabetes brings about the issue of becoming over weight... Ok let us step back and re write the medical books... We have come this far and we still do not fully understand what causes what... Well let us look at the bright side... There is now a need to focus on genes again, but now looking for another button that can be pushed to turn off that gene... Now we should understand why doctors are not know it alls... and why medical universities need to be retooled to teach in a new or different way, while turning out doctors.... Oh bother... back to the 40 acres woods.
