Have you entered your art or writing into the Month of the Military Child contest yet? The winner will receive a full scholarship to Kids Camp or Teen Camp, and be featured in the Plains Guardian! The contest closes on April 25th, so dont delay! Guidelines for both contests are: Written: In 300 words or less, tell us what the best thing is about being a military kid. Art: On an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper, create a picture that highlights why you are proud to be a military kid. You can include a written description. One submission per category. Please write on the back of each submission the following information: Childs name and age Home address Military affiliation (Air or Army) Military family members name and rank, unit, and drill location, Guardians phone number and e-mail address, Guardians signature denoting permission for the child to participate in the contest, and for the authorization of the Child and Youth Program to use the submission in any form, copied or published.
