Oklahomas largest annual steak cook-off dinner is taking place in downtown Tulsa with two tons of fresh-cut steak THIS WEEKEND (August 22nd-23rd) in a two-day steak, music, and beer extravaganza benefiting Tulsa Zoo! Smalley Equipment Company has entered as one of the competing teams and has been testing out a few recipes over the last weeks to make a run at 1st place! Here is a schedule of the weekend: Friday, Aug. 22, 5 - 10 p.m.: Enjoy beer, food trucks, activities and FREE admission as the national steak cook-off portion of the festival summons the best chefs from around the country along with great bands, including Weston and the Outsiders, The 66, Dante and the Hawks, and Desert Noises. Saturday, Aug. 23, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.: Vendors, more music, kids’ activities, a car show and, of course, THOUSANDS of steak dinners will highlight the second day of activities as the Oklahoma Steak Cook-Off portion of the festival offers full steak meals for just $20.
