Have you ever been reading the Word and the words seem to rush by - TopicsExpress

Have you ever been reading the Word and the words seem to rush by at the speed of sound - AND THEN, a passage grabs you? This happened a few days ago. Studying in Revelation and Apostle John, reading these words He came unto His Own and His Own RECIEVED Him not. I thought, where would I have been in the His Own, crowd. In another place the Word says test, evaluate, examine yourselves to make sure you are solid in faith. This brought me to another spot I FLUNK often. He died for all, that they who live should not live for themselves, but for Him who died for them. 2 Cor 5:15. We are so busy making plans and living our lives that we do not stop to think that we are to live under the authority of the one who died for us. We need to remember that we have a purpose and plan in our daily life not separate and a Sunday/Wednesday relationship but ingrained in all of our life. Not to live for myself but every day show up to be His Ambasador. I have NO EXCUSE for He has placed the Holy Spirit in me, to lead and guide me into all truth. If I am going to bear the fruit I need to make my connection stronger with the Vine. He understands our frailty and is always there to help us seat in the vine - we need to Live aware of what we need to be doing as someday He will ask What did you do with all I gave you to accomplish My purpose in your life?
