Have you ever heard it said, “Well, all we can do now is pray??” Believers, often say this after the have worn themselves out struggling against attacks of the enemy, RESISTING IN THEIR OWN STRENGTH and ABILITY. The sole purpose God allows most trials to come against us is to remind us to TOTALLY rely on the strength of God’s LOVE. Our Love for God and our ASSURANCE of His LOVE FOR US releases our faith, to operate in His supernatural ability. In Matthew 21:21 Amplified Bible God’s Word says, “And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (A FIRM RELYING TRUST) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done.” I hear this quite often from believers when trials are bombarding them in some way. I don’t think that people mean it in a bad way when they say this, but sometimes when I hear it, I think, “All you can do is pray? REALLY?” It almost sounds like desperate people who don’t understand the power that is AVAILABLE WHEN THEY CALL upon GOD, THROUGH THE NAME JESUS! Do you not know that there is power in our communicating PERSONALLY with God, the Creator of the Universe? The God who raised His perfect Son Jesus from the dead? Friends, prayer is our best line of defense and should be our first plan of attack! Our Spiritual Enemy roams around seeking whom he may destroy. But don’t be frightened by His tactics. Instead, TURN THE WORD of God INTO PRAYERS and HE WILL FLEE! Prayer is not a Christian’s last ditch effort of desperation when they don’t know what else to do. Prayer releases the “YOKE DESTROYING, BURDEN REMOVING POWER OF GOD”! When you get news that your infant is sick with meningitis, pray. When you hear that a friend’s marriage is in jeopardy, pray. When you think you are about to get laid off from work, pray. When you can’t figure out a way to connect with your rebellious teenager, pray. Bottom line, PRAY! The scripture says, “…they ought ALWAYS to PRAY and NOT to turn coward (FAINT, LOSE HEART, and GIVE UP).” Luke 18:1 AMP.
