Have you ever wanted to learn how to make handcrafted soap? If so, Ill be teaching a day-long class on Saturday, March 8th at Heartland Farm (a ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace) about 14 miles west of Great Bend. Well begin with a demonstration in the morning, and then, after a wholesome lunch, youll have a chance to make your own pound of soap in the afternoon. For $75, everything will be provided; you just need to bring yourself, dressed in long pants and sleeves, and closed-toed shoes. Ill cover things like safety, molds, ingredients, different kinds of soap-making processes, recipes, colorants, fragrances and essential oils, equipment, and more. Im not sure if registration is open, yet, by I do know that space is limited. So, if this is something you are interested in, mark your calendar, and keep an eye open for registration details.
