Have you ever wondered what it would be like to work with a rescue bird? Or have you ever been curious about working with a particular breed. Say you have conures at home but wonder if you got what it takes to work with a cockatoo, amazon, grey or even a macaw? Volunteering at Lazickis is a great way to gain experience and work with parrots from all different walks of life. Some of our fids come from tough pasts and others were given up out of love. Some are young and others are seniors. Some have special needs and others just need a friend....Well all of them could use more friends. When you volunteer at lazickis you dont just cleaning up poop all day, you get to work one on one with birds that need your love and attention. When rescue birds are able to get the proper socialization, their chances of adoption grow much higher. While adopting is certainly one way to rescue a bird, volunteering is another way which contributes to the rescuing of many birds. Right now we are in need of volunteers for Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays. So if this interests you, even if you cant do those days, apply anyways. ---Nicole
