Have you heard about our upcoming SCHOOL WIDE community service event? Our 2014-2015 Global Solidarity Schools Initiative event will take at the culmination of Catholic Schools Week. The Rice student body will be packing at least 10,000 meals for the people of Burkina Faso in Africa. Each student will learn how to help pack approximately 125 meals in an hour. Together with Catholic Relief Services and Stop Hunger Now, Rice will be hosting this unique hands on event. Once we have done our part, Catholic Relief Services ships the meals to their partners overseas who distribute them to needy communities.
