Have you met the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office K9Teams? Introducing Lieutenant Paul Douglas and K9 Rony and Deputy Shawn Levasseur and K9 Bono. Both teams from Massachusetts are featured in the month of August in the 2015 Vested Interest in K9s calendar.. Calendars are available for purchase now through February 2015 locally in MASS at the Pet Food Shoppe 6 Harding St (Rte. 44) Lakeville for $15.00 and Dartmouth Dental 343 State Road North Dartmouth, MA as well as online at vik9s.org. All goods and services for the calendar were donated by generous sponsors, photographers and participating law enforcement agency for police dogs actively working without the potentially lifesaving equipment. Panagakos Development of North Dartmouth, MA is the proud sponsor of the Bristol County Sheriffs Office calendar page and the ballistic vest for K9 Rony. “We’re really excited to offer this nationwide calendar, as it shows a great variety: different law enforcement departments, police dog breeds, and general activities of K9 teams. For example, we have German Shepherd Dogs, Labrador retriever, Dutch Shepherd, Belgian Malinois and a Bloodhound in the calendar. In addition to Massachusetts Police Dogs K9s from Alaska, Hawaii, Chicago, Florida, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Ohio, and Maryland are featured explains Sandy Marcal, President of the East Taunton non-profit, Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. Marcal continues, “Over the past four and a half years, with generous donations from individuals, organizations and businesses and lots of volunteer hours, weve helped vest over 1125 law enforcement dogs, locally and nationwide. K9 Rony is a 3 year old Belgian Malinois/ German Shepherd mix who hails from the Czech Republic. Rony’s vest was donated by Panagakos Development of Dartmouth, MA. Deputy Shawn Levasseur and his partner K9 Bono. Bono is a 3 year old German Shepherd dog who is certified in patrol work and narcotics detection. Bono’s vest was donated through proceeds of the Vested Interest in K9s “Helping Paws for the Holidays” charity event.
