Have you noticed how hot it is today, and supposed to be like this all week? I wanted to alert people to the awful fact that animals suffer from heat stress. Our vet mentioned he has seen a lot of dogs recently that are suffering from this. A friend of ours dog died last week of unknown cause but could be heat stress, as it was not sick or had any toxins in the system. So make sure you cats, dogs, birds and other furry creatures have plenty of clean fresh water, are never ever left in the car!!!! Keep them clipped very short and if possible keep out of the sun, they can get skin cancers too! Finally, if you do have to have your dog in the back of your ute make sure they have somewhere to go in shade and some water!! Just sayin - rant over #loveyouranimals
