Have you seen revolutions in your lifetime? I have. I was thinking about this earlier this morning. I was born in 1941. I knew the world before oleo margarine, refrigerators, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, air conditioning and television. I remember screened porches and screened windows and houses filled with breeze, and the voices of radios in every room, and I remember mule drawn garbage wagons and street cars. I remember when everybody smoked and just about everybody littered, when houses had one black telephone made out of a special material that had a distinct fragrance to it. Ive lived to see a brave new world of unbelievable revolutionary developments. Ive lived to see advances for women, for black people, for the rights of children, for gays, which I never dreamed possible. How has it been for you? I suspect that even if you are very young you have seen remarkable changes.
