Having a hot discussion on twitter (@femeninna) regarding information about Ukraine forbidding Russian TV channels. My opinion is that such act will not be effective as same information is accessible on Internet and it wont stop pro Putins propaganda but just increase the level of hate to all Russian, will inspire nationalism and will irritate more Ukrainians that are against Kiev power. Me myself, emotionally I would cut all Russian media but this is a dictatorial tactic well known for our people from USSR when everything American was forbidden and you could be even persecuted. You cant forbid, but should inform more and educate, especially such a society as Ukrainian, that have been politically ignorant for a while and still partly divided. They say but its propaganda. Yes it is. Same as in American media, European etc. You cant forbid but should educate and create an opinion. This is what democracy is. And to me its even better that Russian media shit is allowed because if its forbidden it doesnt exist. but if its accessible it can be successfully used for building pro democratic propaganda on such a good example of media vomit as Russian TV today What do you say?
