Having a mystery issue as of late. There is a surging loss of vacuum at idle, I can see it hit the vac gauge and it disrupts the rpm...sniffer test did not reveal any seal leaks. Erratic cycle, not a rhythmic cycle. Just replaced the power brake booster which helped a little but not much. Mech thinks it could be the brass throttle sleeve in the carb wearing out...any thoughts? Timing gear is smooth, not worried about any internals, has to be something else.
