Having a wheelchair with an odometer is fun and very revealing. Last winter while still in the UP I put on a grand total of 28 miles between November 1 and April 1. That was mostly from running to doctors appointments and brief outings to restaurants, movies, plays, sporting events, etc. This winter in Eugene during the exact same time period I have traveled 150 miles. That shows clearly how much milder the winters are here and how I was able to go on far more outings. Now that spring is in full blossom Ill be adding to that total significantly.
