Having been blown away by the response to our Launch Night in December where an unbelievable 500 of you lovely people turned up to support us, for our second date we are extremely proud to have been chosen by the oustanding, world-renowned PEATBOG FAERIES to host the Edinburgh date on their current WORLD TOUR. PEATBOG FAERIES Hailing from Dunvegan on the beautiful Isle of Skye, the “PEATBOGS” play their own unique brand of CELTIC FUSION taking all the elements of traditional SCOTTISH music and bringing it bang up to date. Comprising Fiddle, Guitar, Bass, Pipes, Whistles, Percussion, Keyboards and Drums, the PEATBOG FAIRIES are a high energy, largely instrumental band who embody everything that is Celtic Fusion.You can expect a very contemporary set from this talented bunch where during a set you can expect to hear everything from traditional JIGS and REELS to HIP HOP, JAZZ and REGGAE but all with an ELECTRONIC twist ! With seven albums released over a twenty year career, the PEATBOGS are an award winning band and have twice won the Live Band of the Year award at the Scottish Traditonal Music Awards and have been nominated for the Live Band of the Year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. Their music has been used for several TV, radio and DVD soundtracks, and the band has even performed at the BBC Proms in the Park in Glasgow in collaboration with the Scottish Symphony Orchestra. AlbaRoma AlbaRoma formed in Edinburgh in 2012 as a response to the twin evils of Tory austerity and landfill indie rock. Influenced by the likes of Gogol Bordello, Nick Cave and Tom Waits, this vocal-led Edinburgh based six-piece live act use a myriad of instruments from guitar, bass, violin and clarinet to piano, accordian and percussion to infuse the Celtic Folk-Punk tradition with Balkan melodies and rhythms and have been lifting the mood of this fair nation through one simple rule: if the audience cant dance to a tune, they never play it again.
