Having emailed all 51 Copeland Borough Councillors, I have - TopicsExpress

Having emailed all 51 Copeland Borough Councillors, I have received two replies to the questions I posed: Cllr Michael McVeigh: Sir in that you have submitted your query to the ICO office I don’t think it would be proper for us to get involved unless the ICO office decide differently, No further correspondence required, Thanks, Councillor M A Mc Veigh. ----- Cllr Elaine Woodburn: Paul Gardner suggested a quick response to Mr Duffy. Will this suffice? Mr Duffy, Can i confirm that the report that you received is the only report that was written. All that was requested was a lessons learnt report, something that enabled CBC to learn, it was NOT a request on the whole Pow Beck project, I afraid that if you were looking for something more it does not exist and I believe Cllr Greatorex who I believe you know would confirm this as it was written on his request as the then Portfolio Holder. Cllr Elaine Woodburn Leader of Copeland Borough Council ----- It is interesting to note Cllr Elaine Woodburns response. She forgot to remove the first sentence of her reply, which mentions the name Paul Gardner – he isn’t a Councillor. It would seem that the council have employed the services of a PR expert to assist them in this fiasco. I wonder why they need to do this? The sh*t hasn’t hit the fan yet – it is still hurtling towards the blades at breakneck speed. Anyone standing in the way, is likely to be covered in the brown stuff. Cllr Woodburn, I only know Cllr Greatorex through social media, in the same manner as I only know you through social media. I’ve never met him. Likewise, I have never met you, so assumptions that I ‘know’ him are way off the mark. The replies are disappointing, with no real substance. Perhaps Cllr Woodburn would like to address why a number of individuals were interviewed by Rob Blanden during his work, and why he produced a investigative report from those interviews? Perhaps she could explain how the results of a report are published, if the latter doesnt exist? Perhaps Cllr Woodburn should go back to my original question? I asked for the Rob Blanden Pow Beck Project Review Report – where does it state that I asked for a Lessons Learnt report? There are two organisations that used that title: The ICO and CBC. The latter gave that title to the former. In the last few days, Labour Councillors have received a written note from Cllr Woodburn denying the existence of another report, perhaps they could ask her what she means by: It was NOT a request on the whole Pow Beck project. That one sentence is very informative. It indicates that there are more reports available. I really would advise the council to stop digging that hole. It is getting deeper by the minute.
