Having grown up in Saratoga Springs NY and having been a social or kin type in the tri county area for 27 years, I have seen many many people in positions they NEVER thought they would be in ... Domestic violence, job loss, divorce,mental illness, substance abuse, untreated TBIs and PTSD from wartime service and many other reasons create homelessness. These are often WONDERFUL people who just need a second or third or fourth chance to again find their self worth..... Think about it. There but for the grace of God go any one of us ....be grateful for what you have, and reach out to those that dont ....all year long.
