Having lost my father to a not-so-talked-about cancer, where so few are diagnosed annually, I believe that raising awareness and funds in any way possible-for any impactful cause-is amazing. To me, there is no difference than running a 5k, to having a bake sale, to hosting a beef and beer or having a car wash. What I have enjoyed most about this Ice Bucket Challenge is that people have stepped up, families have bonded, children have possibly learned that, by getting doused in cold water, money has been raised to help others. I dont see the harm. After all, dont they say that laughter is the best medicine?
