Having seen the new leaked Ray Rice footage of him punching his wife , I can safely say it is one of the most disgusting videos Ive ever seen on the internet(no hyperbole). Also to Ray Rice, any man that violently hits a woman is nothing short of a scumbag. I hope he never plays a down for this league ever again. Aside from Ray Rice, the biggest culprit of this whole matter is the NFL. I want them to answer: -How do you ban Josh Gordon for one year for only smoking marijuana? -How do you ban Wes Welker or Orlando Scandrick for four games because they took a molly to get a quick high that wasnt really used to gain a competitive advantage? -How do you suspend Mathis for several games for taking a supplement so that he and his wife can have children BUT, having seen the tapes that we just saw, you only ban Ray Rice for only two games? Also, the NFL tries to save face by banning him after these new videos leaked because they didnt know they existed. If youre a multi billion dollar company and you want to conduct the fairest research of the matter, Im sure this footage could be obtained EASILY by the NFL if TMZ could get their hands on it. So you suspend Ray Rice now? Youre not suspending him because of the situation. Youre suspending him because youre trying to save face. The NFL has dropped the ball badly on this issue here, and its a shame because its the greatest league in all of sports. This commissioner is always talking about protecting the shield. The irony here is that he and his staff cant go by that mantra themselves. Protect the shield, protect the league.
