Hawaii was laid back and relaxing as always. Spent quite a bit of time in the Teddy Bear Museum - where they had displays depicting various american historical moments with everyone depicted as teddy bears. Even a display of a G20 meeting with all the world leaders depicted as giant bears - including Julia Gillard. I had my photo taken with the Obama Bear. We are now "at sea" somewhere. The only clues are that we are still north of the equator and the other side of the International Dateline. Next stop Pago Pago, which is pronounced Pango Pango - or as the captain calls it, Pongo Pongo. An American in the Internet cafe told me that it will have good internet coverage as it is part of America. I think he might be in for a shock. I also discovered that what we call American Samoa, they call Samoa. And what we call Samoa, they call Western Samoa. Did you know that they (whoever "they" is/are) recently moved the International Dateline so that Samoa (not the American one) could be on the same day as Australia/New Zealand instead of a day behind? This trip is so educational.
