He fought the law... and who won? Dear Sir: Senator the Honourable Minister for Physical Development, Housing and Urban Renewal was really jazzing it up on Saturday morning at his pub in Rodney Bay, leading up to the last day of Jazz in Saint Lucia. So much so that the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force had to subdue him at approximately 03:30 am for a few hours at the Rodney Bay police station. Was the Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix inebriated and having a drunken stupor? Was Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix in violation of traffic laws, for parking in a restricted area, declared by the police to enable traffic flow and security? Was Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix using his MP plate as a decoy by placing it on the dash board of his private vehicle instead of in the required location of the vehicle? Was Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix in violation of noise pollution laws? Did Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix display utter disregard for police instructions after numerous cautions? Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix’s experience at the Rodney Bay police station would have been a lot more educational had he checked-in at the famous Custody Suites on Bridge Street in Castries. His celebrity status would have complimented Ras Ipa’s experience, and hopefully joined the advocacy to improve the quality of service at Custody Suites. The mouthpiece of the St Lucia Labour Party (SLP) government, small minded propagandist Jadia Jn Pierre would not have difficulty promoting that cause! Before she is appointed as the island newest diplomat! Whoops eh Mama! Onlookers await what legal proceedings will come out of this episode with the Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix, in light of information that a summons is under consideration to appear in court. How soon? Let’s see how efficient the justice system will act on the well connected lawyer by profession, Félix de Beaujour of the SLP. Does the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force have the backbone to act? What will his comrade Senator the Honourable Philip Victor La Corbiniere Leader of Government Business and Minister for Legal Affairs, Home Affairs and National Security have to say, and how will he play his hand? By the actions of Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix he has joined the list of ministers behaving badly. Hopefully there will be no more pot calling kettle black! If Kenny Anthony had any doubts of shuffling his cabinet, this is a perfect opportunity to spring clean his cobwebbed cabinet of ministers. Congratulations, Senator the Honourable Stanley Felix (Félix de Beaujour) Felix! Tori Fatal
