He is back. The man that I know love and at times could choke is back. He showed up yesterday about 11:00, with a little bit of a snarl on his face. That was when he announced he was going to take his walk outside by himself because a man needs to be alone sometimes. When I rode him out to the farm later, he felted compelled to hit a goat in the top of the head for getting in the feed barrel. The goat was fine it was he who wasn’t suppose to exert pressure on that cracked open chest of his that was the problem. When he went back out in the yard yesterday evening to look at his chickens (alone) it never dawned on me he would get a rake to rake some of the chicken feathers around the pen and then burn his pile. Charrish (his baby sister) brought him dinner last night and against my advice he ate two plates of hamburgers in gravy with rice and butter beans. Finishing it off later with banana pudding. After a week of not much eating at all I thought two plates was overkill. Last night he had a rough night, really sore. I think it was from the Ultram he was taking for pain. I did however offer to him that it could have been all the STUFF he did yesterday. He ruled out much of it automatically starting with he knew hamburgers and gravy would never turn on him like that. He ate it again for lunch today just to do an independent study and they were good. Yesterday started me really trying to manage him, I failed. The previous days he has been pretty compliant but it seems those days are gone. Now what I have to deal with is trying to keep, as The Boy said, redneck superman down. Geez if I thought I needed Jesus before I see now is when he is really going to have to intervene. He has gone before us in this making the crooked roads straight right down to a beautiful corner room with extra windows to an early exit at the hospital, good friends and family that have done so much for us since we returned home. I thought the hard part was over but now I see it is going to get really interesting and Jesus has got his work cut out for him. I can already see that I will only be able to control so much of what this guy does the rest I have to leave in God’s hands. See that is what God has given me the ability to do, turn LaFrance Bennett lose and truly believe that God has got it because God has got big hands!
