He is left handed and also leans to the left on the political spectrum. Perhaps this is the only instance where his natural tenderness and political tenderness trace the same path. He possesses an ability to weave words beautifully and to emit them directly like rays of light. He might not have been born with his eyes fixed on the highest office attainable only at the polls in his country but his grandiloquent oratory afforded him the confidence he needed to start the journey. He rose from humble roots but soon he picked up momentum, he continued rising. His looks and an arrogant walk have ladies of the media agog. His opponents attempted to thwart this from influencing the outcome of the 2008 election by crowning a beautiful lady as the running mate of his main opponent, but the ladies in their thousands couldnt resist voting for him. His first victory at the polls for presidency might have been aided by the sympathy wave he rode on - young people in their millions felt that the time was ripe to close the curtain on the sad years of his countrys history by challenging the rest of the world that his story was possible only in the United States of America ---and it indeed stands unexampled anywhere else thus far. However, he secured his second terms victory at the polls through the fervor of his eloquence. The power and reach of his words thrust a powerful message of looking forward into the ears and hearts of potential voters, leaving his opponent, an avid salesman, called Mitt Romney, with almost nothing to sell! He refuses to be trapped in the pattern of the frightening past, a view that sets him apart from many of his contemporaries in the present American politics, which he sells via his placard that simply reads Forward- a virtual reverse of his opponents cry taking the country back. Political ideas aside, his person is majestic. Barrack Obama is his name. Mr.Obamas Kenyan father, whom Mr. Obama clung to whose name without a modification, left his mother and him at a young age and never looked back. His mother, Ann Dunham - a single mother, became the dominant figure in the upbringing of Mr.Obama. So when single mothers voted overwhelmingly for Mr.Obama it is hardly out of anticipation for what Mr. Obama will do for them but rather out of sympathy for the single mother who singlehandedly raised him. His first victory shocked his opponents who after dusting themselves off - having been thrown head-down to the earth by the hissing storm that catapulted Mr. Obama to the helm of power in the American politics, hurriedly began to look to find where they might have slipped. Within a few weeks, the opposing camp located the crack: the traditional conservative party, locally encrypted as the GOP, with O standing for Old, was no longer conservative enough. It wasnt old enough! Those who bought this proposal went ahead and created a forum, they called it the Tea Party, to amend the crack. The partys main goal was to make Mr. Obama a one term president, which meant that the forum members would not support any proposal from Mr.Obama - not even when such a proposal would be good for the country and yet they billed themselves as the most patriotic citizens and the real Americans whose prime patriotic duty was to take their country back. From who, you may ask? My guess is as bad as yours, dear reader. The United States is no doubt the worlds most powerful country in both military and economic considerations and while it is capable of winning any short-term war with less effort, she has a lot of improvements to make when it comes to waging protracted wars. The United States, after a terrorist attack, blamed on Bin Laden, on September 11, 2001, found herself embroiled in wars that dragged on for years, which not only crippled countably many men and women who fought them but also the worlds most robust economy. After taking an oath to start his first term, Mr. Obama quickly began his work by rolling out a stimulus package meant to speed up the recovery. The Tea Party members were bitterly opposed to this for some good and bad reasons. They were right that spending too much of money that wasnt there was a terrible practice and it is no less cruel to transfer an overdrafted account to your children. Mr.Obamas advisors had their reasons to give in support of their position. The matter was to be left for time to tell who was right. But two years into his first term, the recovery didnt show positive changes and common folks were already impatient to wait for the change, which Mr. Obama screamed into countless microphones during his soul shaking campaign speeches. The Tea Party took advantage of the rage that ensued as a result of the slow pace of progress and in 2010 they took full control of the House of Representatives - which they quickly turned into the launching pad for shelling Mr. Obamas camp. The two camps took to the field to tough it out: kill that bill and veto this bill were the usual punches exchanged --- the economy was prepared to be packed for burial. At the end of his first term, Mr. Obama did not have a whole alot accomplished but he was not without something to show. His predecessor succeeded in getting rid of Saddam but at a high cost to the American families whose sons and daughters died in thousands just to hang one man, who was bad for the Iraqis although the Iraqis blamed the US for their miseries more than they were relieved of the disappearance of Saddam. Mr. Obama got rid of Gaddafi an equally bad man for his people (according to CNN and Fox News) but with little cost to the American people. He has a few other items on the list of his successes including having defeated the Tea Party by turning the tide against them at the polls during his second terms victory. It was rather a simple matter of obeying arithmetic rules: Mr.Obama succeeded in framing his opponent as the guy for the rich people and himself as the guy for the middle class downward but the rich makes a very small percentage and since the rules for voting are set on a one-eligible - voter- one- vote, Mr.Obama sat on the safer side entering the Election Day. While the poor can push one up the ladder to the top because they have so many hands, they cannot hold one up there for long if they have empty stomachs; the middle class will be happy only if the economic conditions arent going to continue deteriorating. The upper class ought to be encouraged to help in creating jobs because they have capacity to create jobs. In a world that has gotten very small and an investor can pack and pursues profits anywhere else she will feel secured financially, it is unwise to levied too heavy taxes on the very rich. It would be a mistake if Mr.Obama does not work on reconciling the two camps --- he has the capacity to to do so because he is the winner. #written2012
