He is right. Until change occurs in the Black community it will difficult for change to happen. While I do not condone racial profiling without cause, having been a police officer I do understand why it happens at times. But like he says, there is absolutely NO need for any situation to escalate during what appears to be racial profiling. Case In Point: When my mother was in her 50s she was on her way to work. She was pulled over by a local deputy gun drawn and forced to the ground, dress, nylons and all. Back up officers soon arrived and she was of course given many apologies and sent on her way. While she was completely shaken and innocent of any wrong doing what she did not know was that only minutes before she was pulled over a bank was robbed and the getaway car was the same make model and color as her own. Sometimes it is not the race, but the circumstances that take place. If we all are cooperative while these circumstances are sorted out, there would be a lot fewer escalations.
