He is the creator of the heavens and the earth. Everyone was expecting hot and hazy days but we have been having showers of blessings instead. God is awesome! Why do you think David did not hesitate to fight Goliath? Why didnt David went into hiding, after all, he was a tiny lad compared to the giant Goliath. Yeap, he knew God would help him. Why was he so confident that God would help him? Ya.....correct. Time and again, God helped David. There was a track record of Gods unceasing help in Davids life. David did not think twice when he took up the challenge. That brought me back to last years retreat when Pas Edmund Chan asked us to look back at our life and see if there was a track record of Gods faithfulness in our lives. Goliath was taunting Saul and his soliders and that created fear in them. When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid. 1 Sam 17:11 But for David, he focused on Gods track record in his life And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” 1 Sam 17:37 When you are afraid today, when your child or your teenager come to you with their worries, dont just say scared what! say... God has a good track record in our lives, no need to scared :) Enjoy the coolness of the day!
