He put on the new paisley robe And walked back and forth My eyes watched The strong swagger The folds of velvet and silk The colour is just right With very little light He seemed to levitate Now wrapped in plaid I became glad Sitting on our sofa The yellows cast a glow Rising up we embrace A giant smile on his face Come to bed he said Padding on over Outside we can hear Rover Pulling down the coverlet And palms smoothing the sheets We have some tasty figs to eat Yum Sleepiness is overwhelming The night has come on strong Looking into my eyes More green than blue this night I nod We only have till dawn!~James~
