He said I was his Annie Sullivan, but he didnt know what hes meant - TopicsExpress

He said I was his Annie Sullivan, but he didnt know what hes meant to me. He never gave up on me at my lowest point, saying that he saw heavenly value in me. He encouraged me to get more involved, never knowing how insecure I was at new situations. He told me to pull down the shades on mean people. He took me to every diner, good and bad, and bought me sweet potato pancakes, us staying way too long to talk about the Word of God. He fixed my flat tires, my rear view mirror, and helped change my fridge door to open on the other side. I studied him intently as he grabbed every opportunity to tell others about Jesus. Carpe Diem, dear brother, Carpe Diem! We prayed together, laughed together and cried together as we said our goodbyes: my beloved pastor, my best friend, the Rev. Charles Martin Lewis.
