Head Oil, the biggest misunderstanding in the sport. Houses with could easily change the landscape of bowling for the better but not understanding how oil on the lane works, causes poor scoring and poor attendance from frustration. Head oil helps everyone to easily roll over their target, no hooking to the arrows means greater accuracy, and more energy stored for motion downlane. I never said they should stop blocking lanes, or anything at all about pattern length, and this goes for House shots and especially Sport shots, just the head oil. Im always amazed how few people realize how vital the heads are, and how they help EVERYONE not just crankers. Il have proprietors tell me they put out a heavy or long shot, only to find out the heads are narrow and light, totally useless.
