Head of Sales and Marketing at South African Social Enterprise We are seeking an experienced and passionate Business Development, Marketing and Sales Executive to work with us to grow our user and client-base both in South Africa and other under resourced regions. • Cape Town, South Africa • Salary Details: USD 1250 per month with commission structure. • Please note that this is initially a 12 months full time engagement, with an option to extend depending on performance. There will be a probation period. This is a unique opportunity for a highly entrepreneurial person to work with and grow this award-winning Hybrid Social Enterprise, expanding their reach to other markets creating huge positive impact on lives of children with disabilities. This is a hands-on position and you will be involved in all aspects of the sales, marketing and communications, including strategy, new market development, sales, and contract negotiations. Your main objectives will be: • Marketing strategy, planning and implementation – increasing the sales of all products in both existing and new markets. • Set up and manage the sales process, including growing, developing and managing of local and export sales pipeline and partner hub development plan. • Identify and contact potential private clients, distributors and government agencies in various countries, negotiate and secure new opportunities for both sale of products and training programs. • Manage selected key accounts. • Assist with securing grant funding, sales orders and hub development funding. We are looking for someone who has: • Demonstrable business development/sales and project management experience, at least 5 years’ experience in a new business development role but we would also like to hear from you if you have worked in the health and disability sector where you had a communications, marketing and sales focus. • Marketing degree or diploma is essential. • Export market knowledge is advantage. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Worked in a team to identify alternative and innovative ways to improve turnover, increase number of devices sold while ensuring positive sustainable social impact. • Consultative working style. • Entrepreneurial and self-motivated with the ability to work independently. Systematic and tenacious, demonstrating a “can do” attitude. • A passion for social change and development is key. • Previous experience working in under-resourced regions and/or NPO’s or disabilities/health sectors is an advantage but not essential.
