Headed to church and then the theater. Im going to be putting a lot of miles on my old Jeep Liberty today, fer sure, mateys! Excited (and a little sad) about the last show (today at 2:30). Its always so bittersweet to do the final show. I love the cast members so much, especially the kids. They make my heart sing. Speaking of kids, all three of my local daughters came to the show last night, along with my mom, my son-in-law and two of my granddaughters (Maddy/7 and Peyton/5). When the show was over, Peyton said, Nina, this is my very favorite movie! and Maddy said, Nina, isnt this show like that. . .that. . .that one movie? That Disney one? I wasnt sure if she meant Jake and the Neverland Pirates or Pirates of the Caribbean (which I doubt shes seen). More likely she thought our show was like the Pirate ride she went on at Disney World. At any rate, our pirates looked and acted like the real deal. I thought they would scare the kids...and they did! After the show I had to take Peyton backstage to meet Capn Solly to convince her that the mean captain is really a softie. Hahaha.
