Heading home today, out of this strange and beautiful country. But the best of it wasnt the hikes or vistas or giant skies. It was the time hanging out with younger son and his wife. Of everything Ive ever done in life Im proudest of having helped raise two boys who have become wonderful men. Sixteen years ago I told Bill Clinton I had to leave his cabinet because I wasnt seeing enough of them, then young teenagers. The job was taking twelve hours a day. Clinton understood, but I was asked repeatedly by reporters why I was really leaving -- as if spending more time with the boys couldnt possibly have been enough reason. It was one of the best decisions Ive ever made.
