Heading to Wisscassett Maine was a fun and educational trip. We definitely learned traffic is an issue. HOWEVER once reaching the track after a few wrong turns and plenty of over the phone help from staff at the Wisscassett Raceway we finally pulled into the pit and geared up for the race. Dana started 16th out of the 27 other cars that made the long (or short depending on where came from) trip, we were joined by local drivers and by the time the checkered flew after just five cautions ended 11th. Dana was happy with the results. Toward the last few laps the car picked up the pace and started passing cars with a few more laps Dana was sure he could have had a top ten finish. Either way, no damage done to the car, Dana was able to miss the wrecks on the field and go home happy with the results. Our next race is September 13th in Fair Haven at Devils Bowl Speedway. I (Becca) am personally looking forward to this race, as when I was growing up my father sponsored a car at this track so I look forward to going back to it and see how its changed.
