Heads of parliamentary parties have agreed on an amendment in the Army Act for establishment of special courts for trial of terrorists. Their meeting held in Islamabad on Friday was chaired by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The Prime Minister said he wants to see the country a peaceful place where the citizens have no terror threat. He said if we failed to make bold decisions, the nation would hold us accountable. Nawaz Sharif observed that if a referendum is held, it would show that overwhelming majority of Pakistanis wants that the terrorists must be taken to task. The Prime Minister said unity on the issue of counter-terrorism is golden chapter in the political history of the country. The participants of the meeting also offered Fateha for the Shaheed jawans killed by the Indian border security force.
