Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy. I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings." Psalm 61:1-4 My prayer for today is Psalm 61:1-4- Lead me to the rock that is higher than I- Is this your prayer today-this should be our daily prayer- We are living in a time of so much hurt- pain- suffering- rejection- envy- hate jealousy- deceit-burdens-trials etc. We indeed need THE ROCK (GOD) that is higher than us in order to make it in this life-There is relief to be found only in God- even in the loss of it all- God is truly the Rock that is Higher than us-There is a sweet relief in knowing that God will make a way somehow- Psalm 61 is one of David’s morning prayers- It was a prayer that he prayed during a dark period in his life- Often- David would get up in the early hours of the morning and pour out his heart to God in prayer- It would be good if we all would consider to take this as one of our daily prayer
