Bill On this day 20 years ago, we opened our first Fridays in the Philippines. We had a 500 seat restaurant that was to become the busiest casual dining restaurant in the Philippines for years. There were days when we had 600 customers inside and 1000 people in line to get in. Till this day no one has been able to duplicate this feat and for four years after we still had an average guest count of over 2000 pax per day. We have the most sought after employees in the world. We have managers in majority of the concepts here and they have grown to be a major asset in a lot of countries. Thanks to the strong Fridays training culture, we are, after 20 years strong and vibrant and we to this day remain the inspiration of the people in our industry. As one message from one of my managers sent me this morning, our lives have changed forever because Fridays opened in the Philippines. As for me it has been a wonderful journey. The learning the sharing the personal friendships that I have developed over the years are my real treasure. An unexpected gift that changed the course of my life, made me a better person and hopefully a caring leader to the people I work with. To a large extent, what I am today is the sum total of all my life experiences and Fridays is a significant part of what I am. I am truly grateful that Fridays is part of my life. I think my life would not be as exciting, as wonderful, as fulfilling, and as rewarding without the Fridays experience and being part of it. Please let everybody know that today as we celebrate, (and that we will) we will raise our glasses and say cheers to you wonderful people of Fridays and to those no longer with us, who cared enough to help us become successful.
