Heard a commercial on the way to work this morning supporting a particular after school program - which I do not oppose. Their selling point was that the 3:00 bell rings and children have nothing to do after school, while in the background they play sirens. I get it - I was latch key before it had a name - but we went straight home, changed clothes, had a snack and did homework or played inside until our parents got home. No one was allowed over and we had to stay inside or we would lose our privilege to stay home (we were 2nd and 4th grade) Guess Im just confused?
