Heard a rooster off in the distance yesterday. This IMMEDIATELY got me thinking. I was like, “da-FUQ?!” See I live MILES from any discernible farmland. There’s no denying I have good ears but nobody’s are THAT good. Right off the bat I wondered who was fantastic enough to have a rooster for a pet…in pretty short order I decided that to be pretty awesome and rather indicative of someone I’d like to call friend. Then I got to thinkin’ a bit further like, “what if NOONE is that awesome? What if NOBODY has a rooster? What if you’re just hearing an absolute nutcase who thinks it’s a good idea to blare rooster noise at 9:30am?” It was indeed halfway between nine and ten in the morning. Looking at my wrist-watch made me think a little further like, “rooster or recording it’s closer to ten a.m! doesn’t the person or rooster know that a rooster is supposed to make noise when the sun comes up?” With that I disregarded the entire issue. “Good Shane.” You’re maybe saying. You’re also maybe wondering why that was ever really important enough to be an issue in the first place. I haven’t the slightest idea. I’m not entirely sure if that’s something I would change if I could. I ENJOY thinking that way understand? I theorize that’s because life on a daily basis has rather slowed down for me. Just a theory. One that seems to be predicated on a tendency of mine to make the best of a bad situation. Objectively? I do WHATEVER I can. I hope that’s okay.
