Heard the one about the local historian who volunteered his services and his large collection to the local history museum, only to have the museum manager steal from him and call the police when he went by to demand his things back? It would be funny except that its all true (its still kinda funny, but laughing at the afflicted isnt polite). The city could have a really incredible history museum but the baboon running the place isnt interested enough to even display the local history collection the museum owns! So, instead of leaving my collection to our museum, as I had always intended, Ill probably take a 50 year lease on a storage unit, let some other stooge find it after Im long gone & let him mess with it. Im sad for the city that someone who has devoted so much of his time and money toward helping his hometown is turned away by people in power at the museum with unknown/imaginary grudges or flat-out stupidity.
