Heartbreaking report on the very real, very prevalent problem of male rape in the military. Rape culture and patriarchy hurt us all, as they lead male victims to suffer silently because, as the title of the piece states, men dont get raped. Every time you laugh at a joke about male rape, you are reinforcing rape culture, and contributing to a mentality that leads male rape victims to endure their trauma silently and alone. Male rape is not any funnier than female rape is. Rape is not a womens problem, it is a human problem.
