Heartbroken thinking about Heather Frazer Boyum as I read this article. Not sure if the quality of the jury was a significant factor in the verdicts for Scerbo and Merkel, which fell so inexplicably short of justice. What does console me - Heather was not someone to accept defeat - if I ever knew anyone to push herself to be better, get back up after a fall, go out on a limb to try something new, it was her - and that legacy is more of a gift to her children, family, and friends than a guilty verdict could ever be.
